Fears over fair funding tax formula

Proposals around council tax in the fair funding review could actually have a detrimental impact on more deprived areas of England, councils have warned.

The Government suggested in its consultation calculating council tax income for all councils based on an average collection rate, which has been backed by the Local Government Association (LGA).
