Districts remain in dark on funding

Funding certainty lingers on for finance chiefs in district councils, despite the publication of the provisional local government finance settlement.

Alison Betts, second vice president of the Society of District Council Treasurers, said the lack of information at such an advanced stage in the budget-setting process was unprecedented.
