Director retires after 40 years

An Aberdeenshire Council director has retired after 40 years of public service. Charles Armstrong, the council’s director of corporate services, joined Aberdeenshire when it was formed in 1996 as head of corporate finance, and soon became director of finance, before moving to corporate services.

He previously held posts at Birmingham City Council and Gordon DC.
