DfE drive to check council readiness for Brexit

The Department for Education (DfE) is attempting to gain a better understanding of school sector and council readiness just weeks before the Government’s Brexit deadline.

A letter from minister for the school system, Lord Agnew, last week said the department ‘now require[d] a clearer understanding of school preparedness as a priority’.

It asked local authorities to complete a survey by next week in a bid to identify further areas where the DfE could help the education sector better prepare for October 31.
