Birmingham City Council says it is ‘delighted’ at the response from 1,200 homecare staff to offers of equal pay settlements.
Staff have been invited to ‘sign up’ sessions organised by the council’s HR service and so far, 84% of those eligible have accepted its offer. In some cases, payments have been more than £30,000.
