Perth & Kinross Council recently closed its short-lived TikTok account after it concluded that the performance of its content on the channel ‘did not outweigh the security concerns’ while Portsmouth City Council, which has used TikTok as part of its communications activity to share information and raise awareness of services with hard-to-engage younger residents, has now restricted access to the platform on work devices as it reviews its policies.
