Councils to join AI drive

Local government will be asked to assist in a drive to develop the infrastructure and skills base needed to harness the potential of artificial intelligence (AI).

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has today launched an ‘AI Opportunities Action Plan' that aims to use the technology to ‘transform the lives of working people' and ‘drive incredible change in our country'.
