Call to bolster powers of strategic authorities

Strategic authorities require more freedoms and capacity to drive growth and reform, a think-tank has urged.

They should act as ‘stewards for their regions' bringing together different levels of government in areas such as industrial strategy, infrastructure investment and housing investment according to the report published today by The Future Governance Forum (FGF) and written in partnership with Metro Dynamics.
