Brum rejects independent inquiry call

Birmingham City Council has rejected an opposition call for an independent inquiry into the botched implementation of an IT system.

Auditors Grant Thornton have estimated the failed rollout of the council's Oracle programme could cost the taxpayer £90m more than budgeted.
