BILLY SWAPS THE CARIBBEAN FOR WALSALL TO PAY TRIBUTE TO MUSIC MAN STEVE
The pop star, whose hits include When the going gets tough, the tough get going, visited Walsall MBC’s museum to see an exhibition on his friend, music mogul Steve Jenkins.
Walsall-born Mr Jenkins started out as a DJ before eventually becoming MD of Jive Records, responsible for the careers of Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
Mr Ocean said: ‘I’ve known Steve for more than 20 years. He’s played a big role in my success and it’s nice that Walsall council has decided to recognise him with this exhibition.’
