Asylum hotels are expected to remain open for months, with the Home Office privately suggesting they will be required for longer than originally planned, The MJ understands.

One Midlands council has already been informed that a hotel in its area will be used for a further year, with senior sector figures expecting that new hotels may need to be commissioned.
