£150m for schools

Twenty-three English councils have been selected to share in a £150m government programme to transform outdated primary schools.

The primary capital programme will rebuild, revamp and remodel 8,000 of the country’s 18,000 primary schools.

Among councils to receive the funding are Ealing LBC, Birmingham City Council, Cornwall CC and Nottingham City Council.
