Planning officers have backed plans to expand a Derby business park at an estimated cost of £150m.
The plans for Infinity Park, which lies to the south of Derby, include more office space, a hotel, pub and drive-through café.
Planning documents estimate that more than 2,700 jobs would be created, increasing employment levels in Derby by 1.9%.
Planning officers said there had been ‘long-standing policy ambitions’ to see the area developed to create jobs.
Infinity Park, which already spans 100 acres, is located next to the Rolls-Royce Sinfin base.
Officers have recommended that Derby City Council’s planning committee authorizes the next stage of development when they meet tomorrow (13 July).
If the planning committee approves the plans, the council will negotiate a section 106 agreement with developers and would be able to grant planning permission.
