The thick Nordic pine centre is encased in a highly durable glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) skin to ensure that the door will withstand all weather conditions, without warping or swelling.

What’s more, the solid wooden core is cross-bonded, which means that one fifth of the veneers are glued crosswise. This structure improves the lateral bending strength and stiffness of the panel. With cross-bonded veneers there is also a substantial reduction in moisture-dependent variations across the width of the panel. In fact, a Solid Core door has a life span of approximately 35 years.
