Applications have opened for a new £400,000 grant programme designed to support high street businesses across Wolverhampton.

The Vibrant High Streets grants scheme, launched by the City of Wolverhampton Council, aims to help small and independent retailers in the city centre, Bilston, Wednesfield and other local high streets enhance their premises and attract more customers.

Businesses can apply for up to £5,000 to fund projects such as shopfront improvements, interior or exterior refurbishments, and upgrades to digital, marketing or security systems. Applicants must provide at least 20% match funding for their project.

The initiative is designed to improve the appearance, safety and customer experience of local businesses while boosting footfall and economic activity in town centres.
