Scottish council workers are to be balloted over strike action in response to what a union has described as a ‘pitiful' pay offer.

The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) has tabled a 3% rise for 2025 after trade union Unison submitted a pay claim of 6.5%.
