Trading standards services get £10m boost

The Government has announced an investment of £10m to help improve trading standards services across England.

The investment comes as part of the UK Government’s regulatory ambitions in the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) welcomed the funding boost, commenting it will ‘strengthen our ability to protect public health and support businesses in complying with current and future tobacco and vaping regulations.’
