Sir James replaced by Lam in shadow Cabinet reshuffle

Shadow Home Office minister and assistant whip Katie Lam has been appointed shadow housing, communities and local government secretary.

Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch carried out a shadow Cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of Sir James Cleverley, who stood down as shadow local government secretary to launch a bid for the party's candidacy for the 2028 London mayoral elections.
