Former Camden Council leader Georgia Gould has been appointed as a parliamentary secretary in the Cabinet Office.
Ms Gould, who was also the chair of London Councils, is one of five first time MPs who have been given junior ministerial roles by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Sarah Sackman, a barrister specialising in planning and local government law, has also been made solicitor general.
