The Government should reform outdated council tax bands to improve the UK’s public finances, says influential multilateral organization.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) warned UK economic growth will suffer because of US tariffs and high interest payments on government debt.

Among a raft of measures it argued the Government should consider, it recommended re-evaluating council tax bands in England which are currently based on property values in 1991.
