Ministers have been accused of ‘scapegoating' nature as they attempt to build 1.5 million homes during this Parliament.
The House of Commons' Environmental Audit Committee said the Government tended to adopt a ‘lazy narrative' of blaming environmental protections for blocking housing developments.
