Mayors can relieve council pressures, says report

Mayoral combined authorities (MCAs) can help with long-standing policy challenges in public services as well as boosting economic growth, a think-tank has argued.

Labour Together suggested that mayors could ensure local services were truly ‘joined-up' and relieve pressures on local authorities.
