LocalGov has been confirmed as the official media partner for the LATCo Conference & Exhibition 2026, supporting the event in showcasing innovation, best practice and collaboration across local authority trading companies.

We’re excited to share some great news – LocalGov has been confirmed as the official media partner for the LATCo Conference & Exhibition 2026, taking place on 4 March 2026 at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre.

The LATCo Conference is organised by our sister title The MJ, the UK’s leading weekly magazine dedicated to local government news, views and insights. The conference will bring together council leaders and local government officers and commercial managers to share insight, explore opportunities, learn and tackle the challenges facing local authority trading companies (LATCos) today.

This year’s conference will feature expert speakers, case studies, and numerous networking opportunities designed to help local authorities and LATCos plan, grow and launch trading arms. Topics will range from governance and legal frameworks to commercial growth, partnerships, and community impact.

As official media partner, LocalGov will:

• Share exclusive previews of the conference programme

• Feature interviews with keynote speakers

• Provide on-the-day coverage and insights from Birmingham

• Highlight LATCo success stories and lessons learned

Our aim is to help more local government professionals understand the opportunities LATCos can offer – whether you’re running one, launching one, or just exploring the idea.

Early bird tickets are now available for £299 + VAT until 30 September 2025 – so if you want to be part of the conversation shaping the future of LATCos, now is the time to book.

Date: 4 March 2026

Venue: Birmingham Conference & Events Centre
