Housing approvals drop in final quarter of 2025

New data has revealed the number of housing projects granted approval dropped by 17% in the last three months of 2025.

Figures released by the Home Builders Federation showed there were just 1,452 new housing projects approved in the third quarter of the current financial year, which was also 45% lower than a year ago.
