Fourth commissioner appointed at Woking

The Government has appointed Richard Carr as a managing director commissioner at Woking BC.

Local government minister Simon Hoare said in a letter the addition of a fourth commissioner was required as ‘the most difficult phases of the authority’s recovery are yet to begin’.

Mr Carr is a former chief executive at Central Bedfordshire, Wolverhampton, Aylesbury Vale and East Cambridgeshire, and will effectively take over the role of CEO from Julie Fisher when she steps down in April.
