Leading digital technology consultancy Fimatix has announced the appointment of Francesca White as Head of its new User-Centred Design practice: Fimatix Design.

Fran brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent 10 years working on digital transformation projects within the Home Office and as an independent consultant for the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Health and Social Care. Notably, she served as the Head of User Experience as part of HM Court and Tribunal Service’s crime reform project.

Fran has a strong track record of delivering complex digital transformation programmes which make both internal and external services more accessible and user friendly. She has a deep understanding of the policy influences that can underpin product design, and the need to ensure that the user’s aims are built in from the outset.

In her new role as Head of Fimatix Design, Fran will grow the already considerable internal capability which exists within Fimatix. She will lead a practice centred upon putting user needs at the heart of the digital transformation work Fimatix deliver for clients. Our vision for Fimatix Design is Simply Effective Design, practically delivered.

Fran’s appointment marks another major development for Fimatix since their merger with Agilesphere in 2020. It adds yet more expertise and capacity to the Fimatix senior team, allowing the organisation to build upon recent activity such as the acquisition of Testing Performance in October 2021.

Tim Howarth, CEO of Fimatix, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fran to the Fimatix team, whose background in user design and delivering digital transformation projects throughout the public sector makes her an ideal fit for Fimatix. Her expertise will enhance the value offer of our digital services.”

Francesca White, Head of User-Centred Design at Fimatix said: “Fimatix have an abundance of ambition and energy and I am delighted to join the team and support Fimatix to achieve its business goals. The new User-Centred Design practice will provide Fimatix with new capability and strengthen its role as a leading consultancy at the heart of the Government Digital Service.”
