E-bike firm Lime announces £25m London expansion  image

Bike rental firm Lime is planning a £25m expansion to cover three more boroughs in London.

The firm’s e-bikes are currently available to rent in 16 London boroughs.

Lime have claimed that 97% of London’s population is never more than two minutes from a Lime bike.

However, concerns have been raised over public safety with residents complaining that the devices have been dumped on pavements, blocking access.

The investment also includes an estimated £1m fund for parking infrastructure to help boroughs build more locations for shared e-bike parking around the city,
