Dacorum Borough Council has appointed Sally Marshall as its new chief executive.

Ms Marshall, currently the council's finance and governance corporate director, will be taking on the role from October and will be the authority's first female chief executive.

Ms Marshall said:'I'm honoured to accept the role of chief executive for Dacorum Borough Council in these challenging times for local government.
