Croydon Council appoints new director to spearhead regeneration

Croydon Council has appointed a new development chief to oversee the borough’s £3bn regeneration programme.

Jo Negrini will take up the role of executive director of development and environment in the New Year, replacing interim director Paul Spooner. Ms Negrini has previously worked for both Newham and Lambeth LBCs, ensuring new developments tackle deprivation and poverty.

Nathan Elvery, chief executive of Croydon Council, said: ‘I am delighted to be welcoming Jo to Croydon. Jo is an outstanding candidate and her proven track record will bring a wealth of experience to the borough as we embark on the most important journey in Croydon’s history.’
