Council pension funds pile pressure on firms over climate

Big firms have been put under renewed pressure by the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF) to allow shareholders a vote over their climate transition plans.

According to the forum, the number of votes taking place at annual meetings over strategies for climate risk and resilience is falling, with just five held so far this year compared to 14 in 2022.
