Conservatives call for reduced affordable housing targets

Shadow housing secretary Sir James Cleverly has suggested affordable housing targets for new developments should be dropped.

In his speech to the Conservative Party conference in Manchester, Sir James said: ‘We have affordable housing targets so high they basically prevent anything getting built.
