Compensation for business rates funding flaw

Councils affected by controversial changes to funding will be compensated, ministers have announced.

As part of the final local government finance settlement, an ‘adjustment support grant' will be paid to councils that stood to lose out on funding due to changes to how business rates are accounted for.
