Councillors in Lancashire have insisted it will be ‘business as usual’ despite 20 resignations in protest at the leadership of the national Labour party.

Members from across Pendle BC – including its leader Asjad Mahmood - Nelson Town Council and Brierfield Town Council quit Labour over the weekend in protest at leader Keir Starmer’s handling of the party’s stance on the conflict in Gaza.
