Electric Vehicle (EV) Charge Point Operator (CPO) Believ has achieved B Corp certification demonstrating high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency in sustainability, equity and responsibility. It achieved especially strong performance in the environmental and worker satisfaction categories.

Benchmarking above the average score of UK businesses in its sector and business size, Believ’s Impact Score of 100.8 far exceeded B Corp’s 80-point threshold for certification. The score is designed to measure the positive impact a company makes to governance, workers, community, customers and the environment.

B Corp’s analysis showed Believ is performing twice as well as comparable companies with regards to the environment, leading the way with sustainable practices, particularly in reducing emissions and promoting clean energy solutions. Believ also performed well above average in the worker category, demonstrating its commitment to prioritising employee well-being, providing a positive work environment, and ensuring fair compensation and benefits.

Guy Bartlett, Believ CEO, says he is immensely proud to have achieved this important milestone, especially during a period of rapid growth:

'It is rigorous process that required dedicated engagement from many across Believ, and the exceptional score was achieved through outstanding contributions from all of them. This was especially impressive considering we also doubled our head count and cumulative charge point socket numbers in 2024 – recognised in our EVIEs Scale up of the Year win” he says.

'Our certification underscores our role as a leader in creating sustainable and inclusive solutions that are making a positive impact on society and the environment.'

B Corp assesses factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. To achieve certification, a company must demonstrate high social and environmental performance, make a legal commitment by changing its corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, and exhibit transparency by allowing information about its performance to be measured.
