Local government minister Jim McMahon has responded to claims district authorities will see little increase in their funding this year.

In a debate on the Local Government Finance Settlement, Liberal Democrat MP and councillor for Woking Will Forster highlighted District Councils' Network claim that its members would see an increase in core spending power of just 0.3% on average, describing the situation as ‘just not acceptable'.
