Temporary accommodation inquiry launched by NAO

The National Audit Office (NAO) has launched an inquiry into the resilience of temporary accommodation amid soaring demand.

At the end of March, a record 135,600 households in England were living in temporary accommodation – around 90% higher than a decade earlier – affecting some councils' financial sustainability.
