New chief sought for integrated care board
Local government recruitment specialists Penna have been chosen to search for a new chief for the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board.
Penna it hopes to attract ‘diverse and interesting candidates’ to the leadership post.
Integrated care boards replaced clinical commissioning groups in the NHS in England in 2022, aimed at bringing the NHS together with its partners locally to improve health and care services.
Javed Khan, chair of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board, said the new chief executive would play a vital role in shaping a new approach to health and care across the region.
The new recruit will ‘drive change in improving population health, tackling long-standing health inequalities, delivering better value for money, and contributing to social and economic prosperity.’
In a statement Penna said: ‘Javed and the board are committed to improving integrated health and social care, tackling inherent inequalities and representing the community they serve, so the opportunity to encourage applications from as wide a range of sectors and lived experience made this a perfect assignment for us.’
