A 47-year-old man has been charged by Humberside Police in connection with a fraud case at a Yorkshire funeral home.

In March 2024, Humberside Police attended three Legacy Independent Funeral Services sites in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire after receiving a report of concern for care of the deceased.

The police have now charged a man with a combined total of 64 offences, including fraud, fraudulent trading, theft, and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council said they continue to work with Humberside Police, Hull City Council and Victim Support to support those affected.
