More than 120 trailblazing local authority projects, teams and individuals have been shortlisted for The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2021.

The finalists, announced this week, were selected by judges who scrutinised entries in 17 categories, including a new one for Community Heroes.

From the lists of finalists the judges will then pick their winners to be announced at a gala luncheon celebration on Friday September 17 at London’s Hilton Hotel.

Editor of The MJ, Heather Jameson, said: ‘Congratulations go to all the council teams for doing such an amazing job.

'There was clearly a huge amount of innovation during the past year as we had a record number of entries for the awards.’

The finalists can be found at awards.themj.co.uk and in a supplement inside the ebook at themj.co.uk
