A levelling up partnership bringing together organisations in the East of England to work alongside Government, has been launched.

The Levelling Up Delivery Partnership will bring public and private sector partners together to boost delivery of the Government’s twelve levelling up missions.

This announcement follows the launch of a report into the state of levelling up in the East of England. The report, produced by the East of England LGA and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the region, analysed progress towards achieving the levelling up missions.

Cllr Matthew Hicks, chair of the East of England Local Government Association, said: ‘This partnership is an exciting step forward for the East of England and will support our communities and places to prosper. We look forward to leading the way nationally in this new approach, achieving true collaboration across central and local government working alongside key partners.'

Dehenna Davison MP, Minister for Levelling Up, said: ‘This new partnership is a great example of how collaboration and a shared vision can help to progress our levelling up ambitions at the regional level. I am really pleased that local leaders across the East of England continue to work as one on these important issues and I am sure that the partnership will make a key contribution to realising the region’s potential.’
