Labour’s proposed push for a return to strategic planning will need to be ‘backed up with teeth’, an expert has suggested.

The party’s manifesto said it would ‘introduce effective new mechanisms for cross-boundary strategic planning’, with all combined and mayoral authorities required to strategically plan for housing growth in their areas.
