EXCLUSIVE: Sector warns Government over rental crackdown

Councils have privately warned they will be unable to enforce a planned toughening up of regulations on the quality of rented homes without extra funding.

The warning was delivered by council representatives attending a Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government information sharing session on the planned rules.
