Jon Rowney has been recommended for appointment as Camden Council’s new chief executive.

Rowney, currently the council’s Executive Director of Corporate Services, will take over from Chief Executive Jenny Rowlands in July.

Council leader Richard Olszewski described Rowney, who joined the council in 2015 as Director of Finance, as a ‘visionary, purpose-led leader.’

He also said he was ‘immensely grateful’ for Rowlands ‘outstanding legacy’.
