Building Safety Regulator delays prompt rethink

Elements of building safety could be removed from the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) and returned to local authority control.

Peers heard today how the current system had created ‘unintended consequences' with important decisions, such as installing a fire alarm in a residential tower block, being delayed.
