There will be no cap on the number of areas included in the Government's devolution priority programme, a minister has said.

Local government minister Jim McMahon told the Local Government Association's (LGA) finance conference this morning: ‘There was significantly more interest in devolution and reorganisation than we anticipated. We don't see a reason to decline any area, but it requires good faith.'
