The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) has recognised Cllr Jason McLellan's contribution to local government as he steps down as leader of Denbighshire County Council, a role he has held since 2022.
He also serves as the WLGA's spokesperson for Rural Affairs, and Social Justice and Equality.
WLGA leader Cllr Anthony Hunt praised McLellan's record since his election as councillor for Prestatyn North in 2012, highlighting his ‘steadfast dedication, integrity and a strong commitment to advocating for fairness’ for disadvantaged communities.
‘On behalf of the Welsh local government family, I would like to sincerely thank Jason for his outstanding service,’ he said.
