Tewkesbury Borough Council has developed a three-year digital strategy to create ‘resilient, efficient and innovative services’.
By focusing on the key areas of user experience, data and technology, the council’s plan is designed to cater to the ‘evolving needs’ of both its workforce and residents.
Among the targets of the strategy, the local authority has established its aims to enhance financial sustainability, improve customer experience, support the process of devolution and local government reorganisation, as well as boost the digital literacy of employees.
The council has proposed introducing the seven following principles to guide the plan:
• Share, reuse, collaborate
• End to end digital service design with the customer at the heart
• Evidence based decisions and design
• Environmentally conscious
• Proportionately secure
• Working in the open
As the vision for its strategy, the council has committed to ‘maximising digital capabilities and fostering a collaborative culture to deliver outcomes that support the people and strengthen the communities of Tewkesbury Borough’.
