The Government has said it continues to require assurances that Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is fulfilling its Best Value duty.

In a letter to the authority's chief executive Tom Bryant, the Ministry of Housing Communties and Local Government (MHCLG) said ministers were ‘currently considering appropriate next steps'.
