Luton and Milton Keynes push for strategic mayoral authority

Two councils are pressing the Government to form a mayoral strategic authority covering Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Following the call for expressions of interest, the leaders of Luton BC and Milton Keynes City Council have both backed a strategic authority that would see them adopt a mayor alongside Bedford and Central Bedfordshire.
