Transport for London (TfL) is set to invest £94.8m in the 32 London boroughs and the City of London in 2026/27 as part of its three-year programme to make streets safer, greener, and more accessible.
The funding will support local projects including new cycle routes, School Streets, pedestrian crossings, and measures to reduce road danger, while advancing the Mayor’s Vision Zero strategy to eliminate all deaths and serious injuries on London’s roads by 2041.
A new report highlights achievements over the past three years, including 147?km of protected cycle routes, nearly 400 pedestrian crossings, 469 new School Streets, and over 16,900 on-street electric vehicle charging points. Boroughs will continue to lead delivery, drawing on their local knowledge to improve walking, cycling, and bus networks.
Walking and Cycling Commissioner Will Norman said the funding will build on the city’s progress, helping make London’s streets safer, greener, and fairer for all residents.
